The goal of each piece is to evoke a specific mood and atmosphere, translating raw energy into a visual experience you can connect with deeply.Foundation
and PracticeThis creative vision is built on a rigorous foundation of professional training and  technical expertise.

The artistic journey began at the American Academy of Art in Chicago, Illinois, with a major in graphic design, followed by a successful career as a design and creative director.
A defining influence during those formative years was studying under the direct guidance of master watercolorist Irving Shapiro, AWS. His foundational principles of art and watercolor technique remain the driving force in the studio today, ensuring that every painting meets a standard of classic excellence.

To achieve the luminous transparency, rich textures, and archival longevity you see in these works, the selection of studio tools is highly precise. The vibrant colors are produced exclusively with Daniel Smith Extra Fine Watercolors. These premium pigments are layered onto professional-grade surfaces, choosing between Baohong Masters' Choice 140 lb. cold press paper and Magnani 1404, an exceptional Italian-made cold press paper comparable to Arches.

The fine details and fluid sweeps of color are controlled using a curated assortment of squirrel, sable, and synthetic quill brushes, primarily crafted by Escoda. This uncompromising dedication to master-level materials ensures that each painting remains vibrant for generations.
